What a lovely post. I find gardening to be a way to let go of mental stress as well.

I worked spreading mulch after some flood damage recently and was horrified by how out of shape I'd become over the cold season (mostly in my ability to fling a full shovel, my arm muscles have melted, I'm afraid, LOL). I too long for the return of regular gardening workouts. Not only do they leave me energized, but I get healthy produce and a feast for the senses, as well.

Ahhh - blogging as a physical workout! I like the way you're thinking, Christine. If we could figure out how to make that happen, we would not only be in great shape, but might become wealthy enough to retire and just garden, garden, garden.

I can't tell you how many times I've headed out to the garden to do a specific task and gotten distracted by weeding. I'm glad it's not just me;) If only blogging was as good a physical workout as a mental one I'd be in fine form, ready for spring.
