Garden Reports and Rejoicing – February 10
As we approach the spring planting season I’m reflecting on the power we all have to make changes. Be those alterations to a landscape or beyond, we all have more influence than we realize. Sometimes all it takes in life is one person who will say “Let’s do this.”
Or even, “I’ll do this.” I can’t even begin to list the number of incredible gardens I’ve visited that have been created by one person. Many readers of this blog fall into this category.
I salute you all: those who tend personal landscapes, those who have taken on community or school gardens, and those who volunteer for non-profits and perform other random acts of kindness. Everything that you plant and cultivate is very, very important.
My friend Harriet has designed and planted this garden by herself. There was nothing here before she started, and she's transformed a very shady area into an oasis.
