I got this plant from High Country Gardens a few years ago and I’ve loved it ever since – in fact, I got some more to plant in my new dry garden. This perennial grows 4 to 6 inches tall and about 16” wide because it stays low and looks great before it blooms, it makes a perfect front of the border plant for perennial gardens in sun or part sun. Plant this in well drained but amended soil. It is also good for hanging over walls and is hardy in zones 5 to 9.

OK - not the best shot of this plant but you can see how great it works with other plants in the garden. Here I have it planted in front of the Helenium. A close up - the 'Orange Carpet' is the low plant in the front left of the photo. Notice how great the light green foliage looks - in this shot, taken in August, it is just coming into bloom.
