Report From PIA – October 11
It is well past midnight and after an evening of dancing, cheering, hugging and tearing up I am too spent to write much except this: to be able to celebrate friends, family, faith, love, and yes, flowers, is such a gift. I’m blessed to have all of these in my life.
The dahlias and zinnias from my garden filled the pots that anchored the chuppah.
Because the wedding party was in a large barn, it made sense to have the centerpieces be tall so that they filled the space.
Wan Yi was lifted on a chair while we all danced around her.
Large bouquets were in order since the space was so big.
Hydrangeas, winterberry holly, and assorted other flowers filled the tall vases.
Noah and Wan Yi - the dear bride and groom. I'm breathing a sigh of relief that she didn't toss the bouquet - I made it in an oasis holder, which was lovely, but if she'd thrown it the flowers would have shot out in all directions I'm afriad.
