Report From PIA – October 10

A short post for today: After hosting GardenLine this morning I came home to discover that there was no way we were going to fit all the flowers for the wedding in Dan’s car. He’d picked all of the dahlias and zinnas at our community garden plot, and I already had a garage filled with hydrangeas, grasses, and more dahlias. Clearly, we had to take the station wagon, and we might have to take two cars.

After careful packing, we drove out to Columbia County, NY, and spent the afternoon doing the table arrangements and other barn decorating for the wedding. Early Sunday will be covering the bottom of the chuppah and making bouquets… photos tomorrow or Monday.

Flowers are for sharing.

These were just the dahlias and zinnas - larger stems of assorted plants await in the garage.... not to mention our clothes and a wedding gift!
