Report From An Opinionated Gardener, September 18
Tonight I heard about the death of gardener Wayne Winterrowd, and my heart is filled with that curious combination of grief and gratitude that such passings evoke. I’m sad that this accomplished, intelligent, gentle and generous gardener is gone, and grateful to have met him, read the books he and Joe Eck have written, and visited their gardens. Wayne planted lushly, in many areas of his life, and this is something that all gardeners can emulate. He will be missed.
