Report From An Opinionated Gardener – October 31

As I walked up the steps that lead from the lake to my gardens I noticed once again the plants that thrived among these stones. Alyssum, Verbena bonariensis, Leucanthemum vulgare and Nicotiana mutibilis have thrived here, and softened this walkway all summer.

Such areas remind us that even in the most inhospitable conditions, things can grow. Development can occur when we least expect it, and along any point in our journeys. Thankfully.

There have been flowers and foliage thriving in these steps all season. I'm pleased to be walking through areas of growth, in all areas of my property and in all areas of my life.
