Garden Reports and Rejoicing – September 23

There are advantages to thickly planted landscapes/lives. You have a weaving together of flowers and foliage, certainly, and the rich appearance that this brings. There are also fewer weeds since the ground is filled and shaded with those plants you’ve chosen.

As the growing season winds down I’m making note about where I might layer the landscape for a richer appearance and more practical plantings.

There are times when it’s better not to say, “this is enough” but to look at what you’ve planted in your life and ask, “What else can be done?”

Roses, hydrangeas AND a Clematis! Now that's lush planting.
