Garden Reports and Rejoicing – December 6

Our gardens contain them all. For better or worse, our garden plots, actual and metaphorical, are a mix. They are full of things we’re trying to grow, others that help or attack what we’re trying to grow, and annoying life forms that attach themselves to us whether we want them or not.

Viruses (the flower imagery didn’t do the trick – there goes my Nobel Prize) grouches and sparkling moments of beauty abound. I’m trying to stand with the latter. Some would say that this is the easiest move but I propose that it’s actually the most difficult.

Rain and crabapples on a warm December morning: priceless.
