Good design is always a plus, but a garden should have just a bit more, I think. Most people have at least some personal touches inside their houses, for example. Why not outside?
Even a landscape that is designed by others can contain groups of plants, containers, ornaments or other components that show the owners’ preferences and taste. Let’s all find places in the garden to have fun.
I passed by this yard this summer and LOVED it because it had personality. I may not want this in my front garden, and it might not be to your taste, but you have to admit that it has spirit! Bravo.
