Yes, although it’s the end of September I’m focusing today on the month of June. You see, I was looking back through my photographs for the year in preparation for a talk, and came upon a shot of the dry garden. This bed is up by the road and I’ve planted things in this area that can get by with little to no irrigation. Asclepias, Baptisia, Agastache, and Yucca, for example. The plants that caught my eye for this photograph were the Physocarpus ‘Summer Wine’ in full bloom with flowering Baptisia in the background and soon-to-bloom Coreopsis ‘Zagreb’ in the foreground. If you haven’t met the P. ‘Summer Wine’ or the smaller ‘Lady In Red’, let me introduce you!
